Non-asbestos Sheet
Non-asbestos sheet is compressed sheets made of synthetic and natural materials that are used to create gaskets and other products. They are a safer alternative to asbestos sheets, which were once widely used in industries due to their heat resistance but are now known to be dangerous to human health. Non-asbestos sheets are often made from a combination of the following materials:
※Fibrous materials: Such as aramid fibers, also known as Kevlar, fiberglass, or carbon fibers. Aramid fibers are particularly strong and heat resistant, and can be up to five times stronger than steel.
※Binder materials: Such as nitrile, neoprene, or EPDM rubber. The type of binder used can affect the sheet's suitability for different applications. For example, aramid fibers with a nitrile binder are well-suited for use in water and wastewater treatment.
