Seals are materials or parts that prevent the leakage of fluid or solid particles from adjacent joint surfaces, and prevent external impurities such as dust and moisture from intruding into the main parts of the equipment. The storage temperature of the seals is below 30℃ to avoid the high temperature aging of the seals. So do you know the common sealing form and sealing method? Let's take a look at it together.
Sealing method
1) Try to reduce the number of seals;
2) Clogging and isolation;
3) Lead out or inject;
4) Increase the mechanical seal leakage resistance;
5) Add power components in the channel;
6) Combination of multiple sealing methods;
Common seal forms
Gasket seals, packing seals, mechanical seals, non-contact seals, and injection-type pressure-blocking crystals are common forms of sealing. Among them, the packing seal should be regarded as the most common. It also includes mechanical seals, soft packing seals, hard packing seals and molded packing seals. Formed packing seals include our common O-rings, Y-rings, oil seals, etc.
Non-contact seals include gap seals, labyrinth seals, floating seals, power seals, magnetic fluid seals and fully enclosed seals.
